Riverside University Health System offers a Virtual Lactation Prep Course where you can earn 95+ hours of lactation-specific education. Included are five (5) hours of communication skills and 2 hours of WHO Code instruction to meet the Lactation Specific Education requirement needed to sit for the International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) exam.
The 2027 course is approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, CEP13623 for 105 contact hours and the Commission on Dietetic Registration for 95 contact hours.

Our Course is Approved by the Lactation Education Accreditation and Approval Review Committee (LEAARC). Grow Our Own will provide the textbook Core Curriculum for Interdisciplinary Lactation Care.
Orientation: March 24, 2027 from 8:30am-12:30pm PT
Courses from April 7, 2026 - October 20, 2027 (Every other Wednesday)
8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. (45min lunch break) Course fee: $1,900
Fees will be refunded with the exception of a 10% administrative fee as long as you drop two weeks prior to the start of the course.
